Originally all licensing for Theatresports™, Gorilla Theatre™, and Maestro Impro© were licensed by Loose Moose Theatre Company.
May 23, 1998 was the official beginning of The International Theatresports Institute. This was created as a communication and information hub for groups interested in the ideas of Keith Johnstone.
Improvisation groups, Theatre companies and Institutions all belong to the ITI and have access to each other this way. As well the ITI handles the international licensing of TheatresportsTM, Gorilla Theatre™, Maestro Impro©, all formats that were created by Keith Johnstone.

Licensing information
Theatresports™, Gorilla Theatre™, and Maestro Impro© are all licensed by The International Theatresports Institute (iTi). The iTi is a not-for-profit organisation that was created by Keith Johnstone to manage the Production Rights for these formats. The iTi is not owned by anyone. It is governed by a democratically elected Board of Director and representatives of the global impro community.
